This is a standardized message going out to all participants in the upcoming monotype tournament. Thank you for participating. It should be a lot of fun. The types have been officially assigned, and you will have approximately two weeks to prepare your team. If this is not enough time for someone to prepare a team, I will offer my services as a breeder and EV trainer. On Tuesday, October 14th, everyone will be assigned an opponent to battle against. You will have one week to battle, meaning that battle results must be reported to me by October 21st. If all battle results are reported before the 21st, the next round of battles will be able to commence ahead of schedule.

Before preparing your teams, please take note of the following rules and regulations for the competition:
-The format will be 6v6 singles.
-No more than one of the same Pokemon may appear on a team, regardless of any form changes.
-No more than two of the same item may appear on a team.
-If you are using a mega evolution that changes its type upon mega evolving, the mega evolution must conform to your type, but the Pokemon’s base form does not have to. However, if your Pokemon’s mega evolution conforms to your type while its base form does not, the Pokemon must mega evolve on the first turn it makes a move. (For example, on a mono dark team, Mega Gyarados is permitted, but the Gyarados must mega evolve on the first turn it makes a move. Mega Gyarados is also NOT permitted on a mono flying team.)
-Pokemon on the “Banned” list may not be used under any circumstances. Pokemon on the “Restricted” list may not be used on the same team as another Pokemon on the “Restricted” list. In other words, only one “Restricted” Pokemon is permitted to be on each team. Some of these regulations coincide with the Smogon OU metagame, and some coincide with a healthy monotype metagame. The bans and restrictions are as follows:

I do apologize for the lengthy message, but now, we can finally get to your type for this tournament. Please remember that you are not required to share this information with anyone, but you may if you wish. Ryuka, your type is Dark.

-Houndoom: es de papel de fumar, pero llévalo con la megapiedra y fuego fatuo y podrás arruinar a casi todos los sweepers físicos si logras ser más rápido. Por no hablar del daño espantoso que puedes hacer con lanzallamas+rayo solar, y su fuerte pulso umbrío. Llévalo miedoso, la habilidad te dará todo el poder ofensivo que necesitas.
-Tyranitar: tanque especial (cauto con chaleco asalto y maximizadas defensa especial y el resto repartido entre vida y ataque) si lo llevas normal, ofensivo (firme) si megaevolucionado. En el primer caso nadie te va a tirar como no sea con físicos de lucha, por lo que aconsejo eliminar a los de ese tipo primero. En el segundo, si llevas danza dragón y logras colar una o dos, bueno
-Drapion: anti-hadas por sus ataques de veneno que encima puede aprender púas tóxicas, los tres colmillos (aunque aconsejo mínimo ponerle el que puede envenenar gravemente) y tóxico. Aconsejo una naturaleza que lo haga tanque (preferiblemente agitada) para hacer daño por desgaste y aguantar mientras pone las púas y va envenenando con tóxico a voladores y levitadores. Si te va ir de yolero, ponle acupresión y a disfrutar del espectáculo.
-Weavile: absurdamente rápido, con posibilidad de aprender canto helado (necesitas movimientos de prioridad), embargo para tumbar estrategias basadas en objetos, mofa para desgraciar a los que intenten bufarse y persecución para los que intenten cambiar. Alegre de naturaleza.
-Scrafty: nunca viene mal un tipo lucha, y es mejor que Pangoro. Tiene mudar para problemas de estado, puede aprender danza dragón y tiene testarazo para situaciones desesperadas. Cauto de nuevo, tu mayor amenaza son los ataques especiales.
-Bisharp: tiene el mismo problema que Tyranitar en cuanto a debilidad doble, pero como logres hacer un danza espada y lleves golpe bajo pocos te van a toser. Firme, no necesitas tanto la velocidad.
-Mandibuzz: tanque mamón, por su tipo mejor llevarlo cauto y maximizar defensa especial y ps. Con remolino forzarás intercambios dentro de tus púas tóxicas, puede aprender defensa férrea para hacerse casi inmortal, quitarás trampas enemigas con despejar y viento afín puede venirte bien para dar un impulso de velocidad a todo tu equipo antes de caer.
-Greninja: velocidad imponente, mutatipo y movepool variado que trolleará hasta al vecino. Alegre, la habilidad le dará un pico de poder extra.
